New Shop Signage Revealed

At last we managed to get our new shop signage installed and we love it!

If you look closely enough you’ll spot Lisa doing a happy dance in the doorway!

With two weeks trading under our belt in the new premises, it’s been nothing but positive feedback from our visitors. Those of you who have already paid a visit will know that we still have builders on site as the rest of the building continues to be renovated and to be honest that will be ongoing for a few more weeks, it’s a big old space.

We’re having a grand opening day on Saturday November 26th where you can see the space in full, there will be demonstrations from Globe Arts Studios and a makers craft fair in our huge downstairs space. Both ourselves and Globe Arts will be launching our class timetables right through to March / April and you’ll be able to sign up for some great classes!

Hope to see you there

New Shop Update!

We’ve been super busy for the past few months hatching a plan to move into bigger premises in Huddersfield, those of you who visit our bricks and mortar shop know only too well that we were bursting at the seams in our Linthwaite shop!

After a couple of non-starts over the summer we found our perfect place in Slaithwaite, a gorgeous village just over a mile away from our Linthwaite shop. We took on a huge renovation project and decided to take over a massive building that was the former Wharfeside Inn.

The extra exciting part for us is that we decided to share the building with another female run craft business, Globe Arts.

Globe Arts are an amazing art school that offer some pretty amazing opportunities for learning many different arts. They have sessions in life drawing, fused glass, photography and lots of kids art sessions too. They’re all about making art accessible and also do lots of outreach into local schools, work with families, run children’s parties and much more. Lisa and I are so excited and we have so many ideas for some joint workshops in mind!

We’ve spent the best part of the last 6 weeks ripping out the old pub, think wood panelling everywhere, horrid carpets, 2 huge bar areas, a stage and vile toilets and then re-decorating, new floors laid, new windows, doors and shop fronts fitted, new toilet areas fitted and finally we’re ready to re-open!

So the good news is we’re OPEN FROM SATURDAY 15th OCTOBER!

We’ll be open from 10 - 4pm on the day and our usual opening hours will apply from next week:

Sunday & Monday - Closed (unless you’re coming to a class!)

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 10 - 3pm

Thursday - 10 - 9pm (Open late whilst our social sew is on)

Saturday - 10am - 3pm (Unless a class is on and we’ll be open later)
